Can Calcium Carbonate work as antacid?

In addition to being an excellent source of Calcium, Freeda's Calcium Carbonate (Cal-Mint and Calcium Carbonate Chewable) are used by many individuals as efficient antacids. In contrast to most popular chewable Calciums on the market, Freeda's Calcium products contain no talc and no aluminum.
