Eating Out

Call ahead to find out what the restaurant offers. Ask specific questions about ingredients and food preparation. Ask what you can have, instead of what you canít, and understand that most restaurants canít guarantee that your food will be corn-free, since the chance of contamination in a traditional kitchen is high. Good choices include:

  • Rice or wheat breads or crackers not sweetened with corn syrup
  • Sauces not thickened with corn starch
  • Fresh or frozen vegetables not prepared with corn syrup or corn starch
