Ingredients

  • Ingredients1 can black beans (or refried beans, or left over black bean soup)
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dried cilantro
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 sweet onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced finely
  • 1 pre-prepared pizza dough
  • Toppings1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 3 Tbs chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 cup Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 450°F. If using black beans, reheat and mash them.
  • Preheat a large skillet. Drizzle skillet with olive oil.
  • Add ground beef or turkey to skillet. Add kosher salt, pepper, cilantro, oregano, cumin, onion, and garlic. Brown meat.
  • Prepare shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cilantro.
  • Pre-bake pizza dough. Remove from oven and top with refried beans, ground beef, and shredded cheese. Bake pizza in 450°F oven until done.
  • Remove pizza and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cilantro, and more shredded cheese. Serve with salsa and sour cream.
