The program’s website offers 21-day meal plans for four different calorie levels, and promotes their “ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars” as great snacks that can fit into a variety of diets and diet programs.
Is This Diet Vegetarian-Friendly?
Difficult. A knowledgeable vegetarian would be able to make substitutions, but almost every meal in the meal plans is meat-centered. Consult a healthcare professional to ensure adequate nutrition.
Choose low-fat protein sources like poultry, beans, or fish. Keep breads, starches, and grains to a minimum. Opt for more of the “favorable” carbs like broccoli and fewer of the “unfavorable” ones like pasta.
