	What is SCD Vitamins?

	Celiac disease (CD) is a genetic, autoimmune disease, which affects the first part of the small intestines. Although there is a fairly high occurrence of CD in the United States and throughout Europe, the diagnosis of CD is often overlooked until patients have lived with the disease for many years. Reasons for this include lack of symptoms, lack of knowledge on the part of physicians, and misdiagnosis. The longer it takes to diagnose, the more chance there is for additional diseases and disorders to develop. The gluten protein, which triggers the physical response of Celiac disease, is found in many common grains including wheat, barley, rye, spelt, semolina, and other varieties of wheat.
