1849: Klonimos Wolf Wissotzky establishes the Wissotzky Tea Company in Moscow. Rooibos means Red Bush in Afrikaans, the language spoken in South Africa. The Rooibos belongs to a family of plants endemic to that area only, and which is known for its remedial properties.

Use:
Place one tea bag in your cup. Pour very very hot (just at the brink of boiling) water over the tea bag. Leave to infuse for 3-5 minutes. Remove tea bag and sweeten if desired.
